Joss Whedon is one
of my favorite writer/director. I'm a huge fan of Buffy and Angel and when I
heard he was doing a new series called Firefly and it was a space western I
had my doubts but it was Joss so I would give it a chance. And I'm so happy
that I did because I TOTALLY LOVED THIS SERIES. Fox screwed with the
scheduling but I manage to watch all episodes that broadcast before Fox
cancelled it only 11 episodes in. I was bummed and so was a lot of other
folks that Fox released it on DVD with an extra 3 unaired episodes (which is
unheard of) and it sold out, they made more and it sold out again. Firefly
was a DVD hit. So much so that Universal leased the property from Fox to
make a movie. This movie would be called Serenity and though it did not do
well at the box office it did to well with DVD sales. There have been
rumors of another movie and/or TV series but so far nothing has happened,
but we have gotten additional novels and comic books. I continue to love
Firefly and the verse that Joss created.
